We’re headed off to one of the dreamiest destinations!! Get ready for an ultimate girls trip with TravelBFF to Greece.
We will be visiting Athens to submerge in its rich history, dance the night away in Mykonos, and sail through the crystal blue waters of Santorini. We will stay in three wonderful hand picked hotels and have a balance of various activities with relaxation and party in between.
This trip is for you if:
You are looking for a trip that has a bit of all. Sightseeing, history, dinners, nightlife, sailing, and more. This trip is for you if you’re excited to share this wonderful experience with other girls who to love travel. This includes having shared rooms with other Travelbffs.
Greece is a very walkable place, therefore you should be comfortable with having relaxing walks. We will also be traveling through ferries between islands, so if you’re prone to sea sickness, consider having motion sickness pills just in case.

Airport
Arrive in morning (recommended before 12pm) to Athens airport (ATH) on the 20th. Meaning you may have to depart your city on the 19th.
If you are flying back home from Athens when our tour ends: you will buy a flight from Santorini to Athens ($44 for 55minute flight) for the morning of the 27th. If you’re extending your trip to other countries/islands this day is when we split off.
*We did not include a Ferry ride back to Athens as it is around a 5 hour ride without delays. This may be too late for some people to catch their flights in Athens. Also, others may have other plans to extend their trip or visit other islands. Therefore we are offering transportation to the Santorini Airport in the morning.

The prices difference is only for the Mykonos hotel rooms, everything else includes the same.
Itinerary:
Day 1
Welcome Athens!
Once you have arrived to Athens international airport in the morning, you will be welcomed by our representatives and then transferred to our hotel. Refresh and get ready to explore.
Enjoy a included guided tour of Athens combining many of the city's principal modern and classical sights such as Constitution Square Syntagma square, the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. At the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and finally the beautiful Parthenon. End the tour by visiting the new Acropolis Museum where all remaining treasures from the Parthenon and the Golden age of Greece are hosted!
Then explore the Plaka (old Athens section), Ermou Square for shopping and a taste of a Greek Souvlaki and Monastiraki flea market.
Arrival: Your flight should arrive before 12 in the afternoon, as we will have one airport transfer
Hotel: We will be staying in the brand new Moxy Hotel Athens. The perfect hotel to start off our girls trip.
Day 2
Transfer to Mykonos
Transfer from the hotel to the port and sail to the cosmopolitan island of Mykonos where you are transferred to your hotel.
You will enjoy 3 days on this Cycladic island known for its great night life, beautiful beaches of Elia, Super Paradise, Psarou and the town’s Cycladic architecture.
After a long flight and a day of exploring the day before, this will be a relaxing day to walk through the narrow alleyways in Mykonos town. Use this as a free day.
In the evening we will start off by exploring the famous night scenery.
Hotel: Ibiscus Boutique Hotel. We will be a short walking distance to the main center of Mykonos town. Perfect for getting around easily. We will have a wonderful view of the town.
For this hotel only not every room is the same, which is why we have different prices. Some rooms have a jacuzzi in the balcony with beautiful views. Some rooms have extra beds which is why some offer 3 or 2 people per room. Booking will be first come first serve when selecting your Mykonos room. Click here to see the different rooms.
Day 3
Mykonos Beaches and/or Beach Clubs
We understand we’re in Mykonos and you probably choose to go out the night before, therefore you won’t have to stress over waking up early unless you’d like to. We will use this day to relax in Mykonos beaches and/or day party in the Beach Clubs.
Once we have our group chat, we will coordinate our options for this day. The best part is that there is 21 of us and we can decide to split off in groups to do different activities or stick together if we are all looking to do the same.
Day 4
ATV Tour
On our last full day in Mykonos, we will go explore in ATVs. We have the option to do a morning ride or a sunset ride.
Day 5
Transfer From Mykonos to Santorini - Wine Tasting
Enjoy 3 days at this scenic volcanic island with its breathtaking views and whitewashed houses draped along the high cliffs of Santorini's dramatic "Caldera". Take postcard pictures while walking through the villages of Oia and Fira, Firostefani and Imerovigli. Visit the red and black beaches and the numerous villages outside the Caldera such as Perissa, Perivolos and Pirgos.
On the first day you will have a guided tour of island. You will visit all the highlights with our expert guide.
Later, we will visit 12 volcanic wineries, sampling a variety of whites and reds along with local cheeses and Santorini’s famous tomato paste. But you will not just be tasting Santorini wines, you will be enjoying it with an expert guide who has been a member of the Association of the Italian Sommeliers! This is a complete tour ideal for anyone who wants to learn the ins and outs of Santorini’s wines and wines in general.
At the end of the tour, we can arrange a to have lunch on a Greek restaurant with a wonderful view to the Aegean Sea.

Day 6
Private Catamaran Tour
Get ready for our Santorini luxury catamaran private tour that will take us to:
Red beach in Akrotiri, one of the most beautiful beaches of the island with a distinct red coloration caused by the rich in minerals and iron soil.
White rocky beach, where we’ll stop for a swim and snorkel
We will then head towards the Venetian lighthouse, sail below the Indian Rocks through caves and rock formations characteristic of the Aegean landscape. Entering the caldera of Santorini, a canvas that words cannot describe will unravel. We will sail around the crater of the volcano to have a full view of it and stop at the Hot Springs to swim at the sumptuous waters that offer a natural spa.
Day 7
Enjoy your last day
It will be your last full day in Greece with your new travel friends. Take this day to walk, eat, and simply enjoy the views. If you are looking to do the famous long dress photoshoot in front of the white buildings, then this day will be the perfect opportunity.
Use this day to also visit the black sea where it is popular for it’s beach bars.
Day 8
Departure
It’s time to say our last goodbyes as all good things come to an end, but you will be left with several great memories, pictures, and new friends.
If you are flying back on the 27th, it is best to take a flight from Santorini to Athens as the ferry may be unreliable and it takes 5 hours. It is up to you which option you choose. The transfer to Santorini airport in the morning is included. Read more under “Airport” at the very top.

A week before the trip, we will send out an itinerary with all the planned times for the activities each day. We will also send you a list of recommended things to pack. Please note that the itinerary is subject to change.

Refund policy and Travel Insurance
This trip is NON-refundable. But, you may transfer it to another member to receive your money back. Since our trips are in high demand, finding a replacement is usually easy. Your replacement will pay you through a bank transfer such as zelle, with the approval of the host. Please only book if you are 100% committed as replacements can become time consuming and stressful to our hosts. We also understand that life happens sometimes so we are more than happy to help you find a replacement. Ultimately you are responsible for finding your own replacement to receive your money back.
Also, travel insurance protects your purchase and sometimes even your flight too. Travel insurance is recommended and selecting the option “cancel for any reason” protects your purchases.

We are all here for a pleasant experience and to enjoy our vacation. Come with an open mind, ready to meet a diverse group of people with different personalities. Be respectful to everyone and be inclusive. Anyone causing disruption, drama, harassment, fights, damage, theft, or anything else illegal will be removed from this trip at any time without a refund. This includes the group chat. Authorities will be contacted if necessary.
Please note that you are joining a group trip and be respectful to the hosts and their time.

Vaccine Requirements - Covid
Remember and understand that we are still living under uncertain times, so the government may randomly add new restrictions to the places we visit. Travel insurance is available to purchase and is encouraged to do so within the first 3 days of booking for better coverage such as interruptions due to covid.
Vax requirements for Greece according to the US embassy:
International travelers from the U.S. aged 5 and above with a valid vaccination certificate may enter Greece without a predeparture PCR or lab rapid test. The vaccination certificate is valid for 9 months after completing the basic vaccination and indefinitely for those with a booster dose.
Unvaccinated travelers or those with a certificate of recovery must show proof of a negative PCR test performed up to 72 hours before the scheduled arrival or a rapid antigen test performed up to 24 hours before scheduled arrival. Certificates of recovery are valid for 180 days after their issuance date.

Accommodations
For this trip, we will be staying in three different hotels. You will be sharing a room with another member. Therefore please only book if you are okay with sharing a room. The only hotel we will have different rooms and either 2 or 3 people per room is our hotel in Mykonos. Read below to see the set-ups and price differences.

Passports and airport transfers
Passport:
For entry into Greece from USA, your passport should have at least six months of remaining validity. While Greek law requires three months of passport validity beyond the intended date of your departure, if you are transiting a country that requires six months of validity, you may not be permitted to continue your trip. You should also have a blank page for stamp.
Flights:
Please purchase your flight as soon as you have a confirmed spot to avoid high flight prices.
Many times our members end up flying in a day earlier or a day later.
If your times do not meet up with our included airport transfer time, we can help you find transportation for a small cost.

On Thursday 3/24 at 11am EST, You will find the booking link on this page. On top of the page, there is a pink button saying “book now” and at 11am the button will work.
It will ask you for your instagram account, and dietary restrictions and a picture of you holding a valid passport right next to you.
You must agree to the requirements and then it will take you to the payment page. Be sure that you are booking with your own card.

Payment & Payment Plan Options
The full deposit will be required. You have options for payment plans. The person going on the trip must be the person making the purchase and the card used must be yours*
We usually offer Shop Pay installments divided into 4 payments every 2 weeks, but that adds costs to the final price for everyone. So instead we recommend to use the app Klarna. It is used by many retail stores and trusted. Here is their website and you can do your own research www.Klarna.com.
You can do 4 installments interest-free with 0 impact to your credit score.
They also have options to do a longer monthly payment plan, but that option depends on your credit.
All you have to do is download the app, register and then paste the payment link on the app. You will complete your purchase through the app.

Once Confirmed
Once payment has been successful, you will receive a email confirming your purchase right away (check spam folder)
Then, the host will send you another email with the link to the group chat and other important info. Please give us 24 hours to send out the email. Join the group chat as soon as you get it and stay tuned for important info such as travel insurance.
If you don’t receive the email with the group chat within 24 hours please contact us via instagram @travelbff or reply back to your confirmation email.

Before the Trip
You will have the chance to interact with everyone else going on the group chat and prepare/get excited together. We will also have a mandatory zoom so everyone can see each other and interact a bit before the trip. The host will also provide you with info such as:

Our Safety Measures When It Comes To “Traveling with Strangers”
When booking, we require all of the information to match. This includes having a valid passport and taking a CLEAR picture of you holding it right next to your face. Through this we verify that each person booking and making the payment is who they say they are. Additionally we require at least one zoom call with your camera on. We are alert of any suspicious behavior from the point you book, to the chat, to being on the trip. We ask everyone to not share any info you wouldn’t want any random people to know of including home address. We also do not allow anyone not part of this trip to join us in our hotel accommodations.
The people you decide to meet with while traveling that are not part of the group is up to your responsibility. The decisions you make on the trip are also your responsibility. We reccomend to purchase travel insurance, especially because we will be doing many outdoor activities, as we are not liable. We also encourage everyone to stay alert and not get “too intoxicated” and have a buddy system with your roommates. We provide as much help as we can, but essentially you have to be on the lookout and responsible for yourself as well. Our goal with our trips is to simply provide those who like to travel, a fun experience with new people to meet. It is perfect for those who aren’t afraid to travel solo.
